Just for everyone's information, I received the following queries from a student:
I wanted to clarify how the discussion board posts work before I let too much time pass. We have five posts we are required to make. Can we choose which board to post our initial post to? Then another required post is commenting on a reply on our initial post. And then the remainder of our posts would be comments to our classmates. And while I am clarifying instructions, we are able to write our abstract on any of the short stories from the week? I like to ensure I have all my ducks in a row!
Here was my response:
Welcome aboard and thanks for checking in! You're on the right track for sure: Feel free to post wherever you'd like (usually we'll just have one board) Yes, I'd like you to create at least one original thread and to respond to someone else on your thread-- then your other posts can be wherever Yes, your abstract can be about any of the texts, or about them in combination, if you'd like. As I mentioned, we'll usually only have one book we're reading per week, so this is a bit of an aberration.
Hope this helps and let me know if I can help further,
