When thinking about the world views and a point of view from the waiters. I think about all the times someone walks into retail or restaurants the last few minutes before closing. I remember the attitude I would have in my head. I felt the same as the waiter with a wife. However, the story itself raises questions about the deaf man. He was deaf to the world or was he deaf to the irrelevant noise because he was in a depression. This story also teaches us to not judge people for who they seem to be. This man could be having a pleasant time but the waiter was inconsiderate for the existence issues of this man. Further from being awake late at night, it shows how sometimes we disconnect from being humans because of an inconvenience. I think the old man was disconnected from everything because of traumatic events he might of experienced.
